B's Records was undoubtedly the leading calypso/soca label of the mid 1980s. During its brief existence (1981 to 1988), B's established a reputation for high quality releases with excellent production values. Almost every major name in calypso at the time had a release on B's.
B's was based in Brooklyn, its address was:
B's Recording Co.

There were two series of B's releases. The first series, from 1981 to 1983/4 consisted of about 50 records. The label was then redesigned and a new numbering sequence introduced.
Releases were a mixture of original recordings and recordings licensed from Caribbean labels. Most records were by Trinidad artists, but performers from Barbados (Ras Iley, Red Plastic Bag), Antigua (Shortshirt), Grenada (Wizard), St. Lucia (Lucian Parrot) and St. Vincent (Ron Pompey, Tommy T) were also featured.
There were many popular tracks on the label, but the best known are probably Sparrow's "Doh Back Back" from his "King of the World" album and Black Stalin's "Burn Dem" from the album "I Time".
